Clarinda Shines in Triple Grand Final Appearance

Clarinda Tennis Club has every reason to be proud this winter, with three of our teams earning their place in Bayside and Waverley District Grand Finals – an achievement that speaks volumes about the depth and dedication within our club.

Our Men’s Singles/Doubles Section 1 team delivered a thrilling campaign, capped by a Grand Final win. Their determination and unity shone through as they lifted the premiership trophy, giving the club a memorable triumph to celebrate.

In the Mixed Rubbers Section 3, Clarinda battled hard but fell just short against a strong opponent. Their grit and teamwork throughout the season were a testament to the club’s spirit.

The Men’s Open Rubbers A1 side provided one of the most dramatic finishes of the season. Facing the undefeated Hampton Park, they pushed the contest to the wire before the title was decided in a super tie-break. Though narrowly missing out, their journey to the final reflected resilience, skill, and great club spirit.

To see three Clarinda teams competing on Grand Final day is a milestone achievement in itself. With one premiership secured and all teams giving their best, this winter season will be remembered as one of pride and success for the club.
