How do I access the courts?
- A gate key is available for a nominal fee, which will be refunded when the key is returned.
Can I bring a friend that is not a member?
- You may invite 4 visitors per year. The visitor’s name is to be written in the book and FEES PAID PRIOR to using the facilities. THE FEE IS PER PERSON, PER DAY – flat rate whether playing for one hour or more.
- Visitors Book is located in the filing cabinet under the kitchen window. The black fee safe is located on the ground in the corner under the kitchen window. Anyone caught abusing this rule will have to pay double the fee for the first offence, and any subsequent offence may result in termination of membership. Night tennis visitors are required to pay a visitors fee, plus the cost of the lights.

Can I use the lights to play Tennis during the evening?
- Members must pay to use the lights at night.
- The cost for lights is $8/$10 per hour depending on which courts you use.
You must bring $2 coins for the coin machine to operate the lights, and you must put in an hours worth to start the lights up. You can extend the time by adding additional coins at any time, but you must do this before the lights go off. There is a 10 minute warning light on all courts before lights go out. You cannot restart the lights once they have gone out. - Courts 1-3 will automatically switch off at 10.30pm.
- Courts 5-6 will automatically switch off at 10pm. Monday – Thursday, and 9pm Friday – Sunday.
- Cars must be parked inside the Club car park, not in the street.
How do I look after the tennis courts?
- Classic Clay courts 1, 2, & 3 are to be bagged after each set and at the end of play.
- Courts 4, 5 & 6 are sand filled synthetic grass courts and can be bagged at the end of play.
- No chewing of gum on any of the tennis courts.
- Please remove any rubbish from the court when leaving.
- Do not take chairs onto courts or move benches already provided.
What is a Tennis Victoria Player Registration Membership?
- As part of your Club membership you also receive a Tennis Victoria Membership. This includes Personal Accident Insurance Cover. For more information on your entitlements please visit: https://www.tennis.com.au/vic/players/registration
Can I get tennis coaching?
- Marco Persi (Bounce & Hit), in conjunction with Clarinda Tennis Club, offer group and private coaching programs & squads for both Juniors & Adults. For all enquiries contact the Club Coach – see Coaching page for details
Club organized social events
- The Club runs a number of functions during the year that we encourage all members to attend. These functions are a great way to meet other members and to enjoy yourself in the informal atmosphere of the Club. Information on these events can be found on the notice boards at the club, or on the website under News & Events.
Etiquette on the court
- Good sportsmanship must prevail at all times. Bad language and misbehaviour will not be tolerated.
Club Championships
- Members may play in the Club’s Annual Club Championships.
Court usage
- Coaching, competition tennis and organized social events take precedence over social play. Courts must be booked online at clarindatennis.com.au
Adult Competition
- Adult Competition is free to members (except there is a charge for Pennant & Night competition) – contact Selection Convenor – see Management Committee page for details.
Night Tennis Competition
- Competition Night tennis is on Tuesday evening and Social tennis on Wednesday evening

Correct Tennis Attire
- Correct tennis attire must be worn at all times. Tennis shoes only to be worn – not ripple soled or running shoes.
