A Festive Celebration to Wrap Up the Year
On a balmy summer evening, members and friends of the Clarinda Tennis Club gathered for its annual Christmas celebration, which also featured the much-anticipated Club Championship finals. Held on our regular Wednesday Social Tennis Night, the event was a highlight of the club’s calendar, bringing together members for a night of camaraderie, competition, and celebration.
Kicking off at 5 pm, the festivities saw members bringing picnic hampers, some to share, creating a warm and festive atmosphere. The barbecue was fired up, and the club’s licensed bar provided refreshments to keep spirits high throughout the night. Those who attended made the most of the evening, filling the courts and clubhouse with laughter and good cheer.
The spotlight of the evening was, of course, the finals of the Clarinda Tennis Club Championships—a tradition that crowns the best of the best in four fiercely contested categories. The matches did not disappoint, showcasing the skill, determination, and sportsmanship that our members are known for. The cheers of spectators and the rallying cries of players filled the air as the finals unfolded.

Their hard work and dedication ensured everything ran smoothly, from organising the championships to keeping the party lively and welcoming.
Looking back, 2024 has been a memorable year for our club. From the growing success of our weekly social tennis nights to fostering a vibrant and inclusive community, this year was filled with milestones and achievements.
